Here are a couple of Yavneh initiatives happening on campus.
Mondays with Mikey: Get to have lunch with a Yachad member, Mikey Lorch, who works in Columbia on Monday mornings!
Visiting the sick: A program where students can visit sick and lonely patients at St. Luke's hospital.
Peer Advising: A system where people who have already taken a class can help those currently taking it.

Past Chessed Events:
Habitat for Humanity Alternative Spring Break Trip: 20 Yavneh members, along with our faculty advisor, Josh Jacobs, built houses in South Carolina. We learned about social justice and Judaism as part of our trip, which was made possible thanks to Repair the World.
Sensitivity & Awareness Shabbaton: H ea r from Rabbi Yehoshua Soudakoff and Tikvah Juni, as we learn about inclusion, and attain a better understanding of individuals with disabilities.
Yavneh Purim Auction: Share a fun night with friends as you hope to win the amazing and funny prizes your friends have donated. All the money raised will be distributed to the needy in Israel on Purim. (Tuesday, March 3)
ZUMBA for Life: Yavneh girls got their dance on while the raised money for Relay for Life, an organization that supports cancer treatment.
